Street food specialists Mobi Munch set out to bring a restaurant quality experience to a gourmet food truck. The team engaged The Culinary Edge to remove the mechanical hurdles of entering the food truck market by presenting a plug-and-play mobile platform that allows food entrepreneurs to easily adapt restaurant concepts to the truck environment.
The Culinary Edge worked closely with Mobi Munch to design and build two prototype food trucks, The Chairman Truck in San Francisco and Ludo Truck in Los Angeles. The Culinary Edge led menu and operations development for both concepts, working with truck manufacturers to optimize kitchen layout, and training and coaching staff leading up to each launch. The Culinary Edge team also helped maintain quality and managing costs after opening.
The Chairman Truck was named Best Food Truck in the 2012, 2013, and 2014 “7×7 Eat+Drink Awards”. Mobi Munch now operates five food trucks that travel throughout the US. The team also partners with QSR brands including Boston Market and Qdoba to bring their concepts to life on the street.
