First Watch—the self-titled daytime café—is a 100+ restaurant chain with locations in 17 states.
First Watch turned to The Culinary Edge for assistance enhancing the brand’s culinary quality through improved ingredients, new signature dishes, and an updated approach to food presentation.
The Culinary Edge explored a range of fresh menu concepts and created 25 new recipes for omelets, sandwiches, salads, and pancakes. The team sourced new ingredients, including fully commercialized sauces and dressings. New plateware and an improved plating approach were brought in. The Culinary Edge provided on-site training with regional and district managers.
The prototype menu launched and is live chain-wide. Since launch, First Watch has seen LTO sales rise from from 2.5% to 10% of its sales mix.
